AS soon as the special sessions are finished, they are through. Our legislature meets every other year for approximately 4-6 months. If special sessions are called they are required to attend them. In short, they are all up for re-election.

What's going on is these POS democrats are going stir crazy holed up in New Mexico away from friends and family who must visit them. Same way prisoners must be visited. They are serving a 30 day sentence where to enter Texas means they are dragged into the legislative chambers to do their job and pass a redistricting bill.
Plus they have more of the same to look forward to as 30 day special sessions get called one after another

Plus some have outside jobs (as lawyers etc.) they cannot do when they cannot set foot in Texas. So by their self imposed exile these scoundrels are losing money they could have earned
