I'm not quite so sure Arnold is a fiscal conservative. After all, he did actively support Prop. 49, a $550 million state initiative for after-school programs

What is the problem with after school programs anyway? I would support anything that keeps kids off of the streets and in a place where learning takes place. (Yes, I know, some schools are worse than others). We pay taxes for education but turn around and say after school is bad.
Educated kids do better in the long run and believe me, we are going to need them.

To be socially liberal and fiscally conservative is a CONTRADICTION . Liberalism's social programs suck in money like there is no tomorrow. This is not being fiscally conservative. Fine the man made it in the business world, and while in government he will be giving every single person who lives and pays state tax the raw end of the deal so his utopian ideals will gain favor. I see this as yet another attack on what is left of the conservative voice in the Republican party by those on the left. Whether they use RINO's, converts such as Mayor Bloomberg, moderates, etc. the game is quite clear, destroy conservative thought in the political arena. This is a page from Marx's and Lenin's play book.
