He HAS to be carrying somebody else's water. No other explanation makes sense to me. He's dull and boring, and perhaps a bit out of touch, but this was an INSANE thing for him to do.He said right at the end that he's "eventually" going to come out an endorse a candidate, in a way that strongly hinted he's already decided who that candidate is. Perhaps Dean? Dean is so inevitably going to fade over the next few months, perhaps Gore thinks an early-January endorsement from The Mighty Algore will rejuvenate Dean's by-then-flatlining campaign.

That would certainly be a slap in the face to Lieberman...the man he thought SO highly of that he chose him to run as his Vice President. Talk about sowing confusion with the Democratic voters.

Why would Gore take it *upon himself* to endorse anybody? I really think he's up to something, and not in a plan of his own design.
