The last I heard, Congress was set to reverse the assault weapons ban later this year. I doubt Bush will veto it either. Sadly, he hasn't vetoed anything yet. The Farm Bill was a prime example of excessive government spending that Bush should have challenged and threatened with a veto.

We should feel optimistic that this will be reversed. Otherwise, it is a sure fire loser for Bush.
