1) There were NO M-1 Abrams actually destroyed by the Iraqis; there were a couple that were disabled (unable to move), and given the tactical situation, were unable to be towed away, and so we destroyed them ourselves.
Upon further review (I believe this was on strategypage.com several weeks ago), amazingly, there's NO evidence that the Iraqis EVER fired ANY antitank missles at any time, other than RPGs; the two disabled M-1s were from lucky RPG shots to the rear, and the Kornet reports were in error.
