The Serbs are at it again. Once again, they are playing their role as the perpetual victims of Europe, complaining about unfair treatment by the international community and whining about the injustice of it all. If the Serbian mentality was supposed to have changed since the ouster and war crimes indictment of former dictator Slobodan Milosevic, this was not evident from the recent visit of Serbian government leaders to Washington.

This is beside point. This article violates US law
-group libel
-hate speech
(group libel and defamation of entire nation)

In this they strongly resemble Arabs.
They remind me of the Arabs. Both are totally convinced that they're blameless victims. Thus, they're not responsible for their actions. It's an attitude that absolutely invites the committment of atrocities (which simply invite their neighbors and other powers to hit them even harder). Pathetic.
Oh well, the smarter Serbs will continue to emigrate and eventually become assimilated in a more successful culture such as the US.
A difference of opinion does not rise to the level of "Barf Alert".
Arabs? Are you sure?
On 1941-JUL-22, Dr. Mile Budak, the Usta a Minister of Education and Cults, said:
"The movement of the Ustashi is based on religion. For minorities-Serbs, Jews and Gypsies, we have three million bullets. We shall kill one part of the Serbs. We shall transport another, and the rest of them will be forced to embrace the Roman Catholic religion. Thus, our new Croatia will get rid of all Serbs in our midst in order to become one hundred percent Catholic within ten years." 13
During 1941 to 1943, the regime slaughtered at least 250,000 Serb residents of Croatia and Bosnia, and more than 20,000 Jews. Most were systematically exterminated at the Jasenovac concentration camp, and similar facilities. "Usta a units, often encouraged by Catholic clergy, carried out a program of compulsory conversion of Orthodox Serbs to Catholicism; resistance often resulted in murder. Some Serbs, particularly members of the elite, were not even offered the option of conversion to avoid being killed." 14 "Conditions in the Jasenovac camps were horrendous. Prisoners received minimal food. Shelter and sanitary facilities were totally inadequate. Worse still, the Ustasa guards cruelly tortured, terrorized, and murdered prisoners at will." 15 After mid-1942, a further 7,000 Jews were dispatched to Auschwitz-Birkenau in Poland for slaughter. "The Ustasa government was dissolved in May 1945. After the war, most of the Ustasa leaders escaped to South America or Spain." 16
Another example what kind of author Ms. Halle Dale is. She can not even do the bacic math (2003-1999), let alone quote accurate facts about complex issues.
This is paid hatchet job. Hope The Washington Times will pay handsomely too for printing it.
Messing up the Balkans and harming American Foreign policy is in the interest of George Soros as well as Al Qaida.
The question here is: who ordered this ope-ed?
You are absolutely correct. But what happens when an article use factually incorrect data to claim something.
Hate speech is precisely defined by the US law. Was that law written by Marxists?
I suggest that you would be well-advised not to go back into history to attempt to portray Serbs as innocent victims.
In WWI Serbia lost 56% of male population. A loss comparable to the percentage of Jews who lost life in Holocaust (30% of all Jews worldwide)
Your post is an attempt to criminalize the victim. Can you explain why you are doing it?
The Serbs, fired by pan-Slav politics, triggered WW I in other words, they started it.
Ipso fact they weren't victims.
The percentage of Serb males lost during the conflict has no more bearing on their culpability than does the percentage of Jews lost during the Holocaust have anything to do with the case.
The Archduke was there because Austria was conducting military manuevers on Serbia's border. Austria wanted war a war to happen.
And why should America complain about WWI, as American Industry boomed because of it. The chemical industry, cut off from supplies from Germany, developed because of WWI. Monsanto, I believe, is one example. WWI helped America grow stronger than its European rivals.
Maybe WW I was inevitable and maybe it wasn't, what is incontrovertible is that the Serbs triggered the war.
The Serbs are one of those cultures which has constructed a national mythos that's at odds with historical reality and they apparently won't give up on their obsession with a Greater Serbia.
Their obsession with the past and their compulsion to nurse grudges for preceived wrongs almost a millenium old (a defeat at the hands of the Teutonic Knights in the 1080s) means that they are destined to continue to periodically be disturbers of the Eastern European peace.
