You're right, he's being attacked, too. It is hard to be objective, even when we try very hard to be. I wonder how we all get pulled into these cases, I was determined to stay away from it as I did for most of the OJ one. Oh, well. It's the 24-hour news-cycle, we can blame that.

It seems to me that in the beginning of these threads there was an active voice supporting Kobe, or at least dismissing the accuser. It was also the impression I got in hearing periodic comments from Rush and Hannity.

It's sort of impossible not to register on one side or the other after a while. The accusations about both Kobe and the accuser tend to polarize people. And I, like others, got tired of hearing about "poor" Kobe and how he was being unfairly victimized just because some young woman cried rape. I have a certain amount of built in faith, and maybe wrongly so, that the police and DA have pursued this case because of strong evidence, not because of the histrionics of a teenager or some other such wrongheaded basis.
