[Conservative til I die]

There's been controversy out in Long Island over a similar "hiring center" for the primarily Mexican day laborers. Sadly, the conservative protestors did not make a very good show of themselves. They interviewed one briefly on the local news. He was some old coot who was frothing at the mouth saying that these day laborers are "low level terrorists" and those that support them support terrorism. He made an awful showing for himself.

It also didn't help that earlier in the month, some idiot decided to firebomb a house that a whole bunch of them were living in.

Isn't aiding an illegal immgrant against federal law and isn't the County Board assisting contractors in breaking numerous other federal tax and employment laws? Why do we have this double standard now in the USA where some employers are held to a different standard than those who have essentially cash businesses or can hide their labor costs under a broad classification of "contract labor"?
