Thanks. Fun to see I'm not alone. Well... alone in one sense but knowing most Freepers agree this is not a good thing.

A Message from the Bishops of the Diocese of Texas:

We believe that the New Hampshire election is unfortunate for everyone in the church because it forces a political rather than a pastoral resolution to our disagreements. It simultaneously funnels the creative energy of the faithful away from mission into internal conflict.

In terms of our position in this matter, we have consistently opposed the ordination of non-celibate homosexuals, and we oppose the confirmation of the New Hampshire election.

We ask your continuing prayers for the church.
