Give you a link to Seal Carving Art, then you will better understand this Emblem.
http://www.chinapage.com/seal.html This is an abstract running man that looks like the Chinese character JING which means capital city where the Olympic2008 hold.

"Jimmy Carter was correct (did I just say that?!?) when he pulled us out of the Moscow games. Boo-hoo, too bad that some athletes were put out."
If we had allowed the Russians to stay put in Afkannistan, bin Ladin would not have had the chance to train his people there, and, 9-11 would not have happened. What do you guys think?
Go further in this direction: if the Soviet Union had not crashed, we would not have the domestic security concern as we do today: tight security at the airport, metal detecters at the city halls, yellow warning stage, red warning stage, and so on.

I hated the French when I was a registered Democrat.
I have never met a fenchie I have liked. On the other hand, I have met many Chinese people I have liked. I hate the Commie Chinese government, but not the people. I hate the French govt. & the people.
BTW, the French have a pretty bad record on imprisonment....just read the Count of Monte Cristo. hehehe

You are free to practice religion in France Especially if you are a møøselimb with a proclivity for gang raping european women, burning synagogues, or defiling Jewish graves.
How could anyone who calls themself a Christian...
I've been called a Christian for decades, I'm an agnostic.
...go and support a country like China that kills people for believing in Christ?
I don't support China. Am I required to support Commie China to loathe France? I musta missed that memo...

"go and support a country like China that kills people for believing in Christ?"
have you seen it? too much bias!!!
I know many people believing in Christ in China, nobody was killed for that. even if what you said is true, then that must be several decades ago

ummm, "go and support a country like China that kills people for believing in Christ?" wasn't me. I was quoting ianincali, and my italians escaped.
even if what you said is true, then that must be several decades ago
Well, I feel sooooo much better. They haven't killed anybody for being Christian lately...

When the guy came to install it, he told him of his recent trip to China to install a new machine there. Once the machine was leveled and wired in, they brought down the worker for this machine...removed his shackles and handcuffs...did you get that? He was hand cuffed; he was shackled, barefoot, and brought out of is cell to run the new 4 axis miller..."
I can't vouch for the accuracy of this particular incident, would you have any comments?

I'm a Chinese, and this is the first time I come to this forum.I guess you all have some misunderstanding about Chinese culture. So,I will tell you something about China.
1.In china red is a symbol of luck ,happiness and bless, while white is opposite, which is much different from the U.S.
2.About Beijing 2008 Olympic Emblem,
It comes from an old Chinese art.I don't know how to explain it to you. This is so difficult.Maybe you know carven stones.About 4000 years ago, we Chinese began to carve our letter in stones in order to preserve information, after paper was invented, some well-educated Chinese carved their names in stones and use these stones they can sign their names in Chinese paints.
Now,we Chinese also used to do this. And we still use the letters used by our antecessors thousands years ago when we carve our names or wishs in stones.
In Beijing 2008 Olympic Emblem, the Chinese letter is "jing".It means Beijing, also it just like a running people.
I have so much informatiom about Beijing 2008 Olympic Emblem that I can't tell you in a few minuties.I enjoy making friends with all of you,and I can tell you much more about China. You can mail me if you want to be a Chinese boy's friend.
