Hollywood actress Cameron Diaz has temporarily blocked the publication of topless photographs taken before she was famous.
The 31-year-old star of Charlie's Angles and Something About Mary is suing photographer John Rutter in a Los Angeles court to suppress the pictures, taken when she was 21.
She says a signature appearing on a release form permitting sale of the photos, has been forged.
Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Alan Haber ruled that the pictures should be sealed until the case is settled because Diaz has a right to protect the privacy of her own body.
He also sealed release of a videotape the contents of which would not be revealed by either side.
Diaz's success has skyrocketed in recent years with films such as Something About Mary, My Best Friend's Wedding and Gangs of New York making her one of the best-paid female stars in Hollywood.
She has recently hit the headlines over a reported romantic dalliance with former Britney Spears beau and boy band pin-up Justin Timberlake.

VH1 had Diaz and a host of other female celebs topless and nekkid all over the place on a "Naked Celebrities" special last night. Beware the telephoto lens.

"sealed until the case is settled "
POOR HEADLINE - hardly a win. Always develop your critical reading skills. I am tired of stupid reporters.

I think all she accomplished on the long run is caused a big price increase for these pix on the black-market.
Supply goes to near zero...demand goes up.

Topless pictures of Cameron Diaz and virtually every other female celebrity are readily available for free on the Net, or so I'm told...

Diaz has a right to protect the privacy of her own body. And I'm sure the judge read this in the constitution.

Diaz has a right to protect the privacy of her own body. She could have done that with a little common sense. DON'T POSE FOR NUDE PICTURES STUPID! There, I feel better now.

"star of Charlie's Angles"
...yeah, that Charlie's Angles movie was great!...don't these idiots EVER proof-read their work before printing?...

Typical, pose for nude or topless pictures while they are unknown and then when they become "stars" they whine about the pictures being sold
