No, this is when you go to a relative and say: "I'm scared I'm going to hurt my baby" and seek treatment. I know very well some people treated for severe post-partum depression--it's no joke. But it is also no excuse for murder.

I think she's striving to be the unoffical evil apologist - i.e. NO mere mortal is EVER responsible for what they do. Reaching out for help is also NOT a possibility for the person since it WOULD also mean taking responsibility for their state of mind. Nah, can't have that. It's just got to be someone else or something else at fault. Notice no sympathy for the baby just the mother who slit the throat of an innocent, defenseless little baby. Sick.
