The point is, what the heck is the left going to do about it anyway? They brought it upon themselves. Now they are going to feel the backlash.

Actually, he probably worships his ass and pays a lot more attention to it than he does to the Bible or any religious teaching.

I guess we have to welcome the Pope to the VRWC.

Apostate clericrats always raise this bleet when serious Christians call them on their twisting of scripture. A loud yawn is all this load of nonsense merits. And maybe a few chuckles at the blatant projection of their own thievery and knavery onto their denominational opponents.
As usual, the best way to flush these rascals out of the congregation is to cut off their access to "other people's money" by defunding their clerocracies at all levels, and developing new scripturally sound governance structures that operate only within their legitimate mandate. If these hirelings in shepherds clothing want to be shills for committed perverts and other unrepentantant apostates and unbelievers, they should quit their pastoral disguises and get honest jobs somewhere else, not funded from the gifts of believers.

1 huge "win" for the homo-nazis this weekend (the Episco's)
and 1 setback from the pope. You'd think they would be content to gain some ground, but noooooo!

This guy makes it sound like CONSERVATIVES have brought about this acrimony. Every one was getting along fine until out of a clear blue sky those evil CONSERVATIVES started attacking gays for no reason at all. It's not like gays are trying to overturn 5000 years of doctrine and tradition or anything.

The Bible warned about those in our end times era who would call evil good; black, white etc.
And it also warns that they will put authentic Believers to death--the killers thinking they do God a service!!!
The Inquisition was a child's play rehearsal, group.

Instead I find a portrait - remarkably consistent across all accounts - of a renegade anti-establishment proto-feminist communitarian bachelor Jew. Jesus never comes closer to endorsing orthodoxy than the ambiguous "render unto Caesar the things which are Caesar's," even as he frequently advocates inarguably radical behavior. Odd that the author forgot to mention that Christ was not "rebellious" for rebellion's sake, but because the world and man had fallen short of God's law. And God's law is pretty explicit on issues of morality.
On the other hand, I think that there is a different anti-establishment Biblical "radical" - who is responsible for twisting God's law to yield worldly religions like much of what passes for feminism and communism - that is well-suited to this guy's lifestyle. I'm pretty sure that Lucifer wasn't jewish, however, and I can't find anything in scripture to indicate whether the powers and principalities are bachelors.

In the 19th and 20th centuries, Christians struggled with and rejected the Bible's condoning of slavery. Antone know where the Bible condones slavery?

Jesus never comes closer to endorsing orthodoxy than the ambiguous "render unto Caesar the things which are Caesar's," even as he frequently advocates inarguably radical behavior. The author apparently skipped over the Sermon on the Mount.
"Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill. For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the Law till all is fulfilled." --Matt. 5:17-18
On the subject of sex, Jesus said, "But I say to you that whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart." --v. 28
Frankly, if Jesus raised the bar on adultery to include lust, what possible reason is there to assume that He lowered it when it came to homosexual adultery?

Note the author is a visiting professor of "creative writing".
It is clear he is good at his craft, but as to his reading comprehension of the Bible...that is another story. His only connection between the implied acceptance of homosexuality and Christ's emphasis on "love" is his tenuous ties to Biblical "acceptance" of slavery, and our modern society's so-called rejection of slavery.
In other words, since we have been broadminded enough to reject one alleged "doctrine" the Bible allegedly accepted, we should likewise be broadminded enough to accept a "doctrine" the Bible specifically condemns.
At least this quack didn't try to argue the ambiguity of Biblical condemnations of homosexuality, (although he made aspersions to others citicisms of it).
