The calculation goes like this 100 % of those that voted for the Leader Kim voted for the Leader Kim, thus he got 100 % of the votes.

But since they are using slide rulers (they have not reached the next level according to Lenin: Communism is Soviet power plus the electrification of the whole country.)to calculate the outcome there is a small error margin of 0.01 %. That is scientific socialism.

I doubt the scientific validity of exit polling performed by commandoes armed with Tech-9's.

I can just imagine his platform; "Next year I promise you a pot to ---- in!"

On a side note, www.kcna.co.jp reports:

Floral basket from Yasser Arafat
Pyongyang, July 8 (KCNA) -- Palestinian President Yasser Arafat sent a floral basket to the statue of President Kim Il Sung on Mansu Hill on the occasion of his 9th death anniversary. The floral basket was laid before his statue by Palestinian ambassador to the DPRK Shaher Mohammed Abdlah on July 7.
Written on the ribbon of the floral basket were letters "H.E. The Great Leader Kim Il Sung Will Be Immortal".

Election system of DPRK
Pyongyang, July 31 (KCNA) -- The entire Korean people are willing to take part in the elections of deputies to the 11th Supreme People's Assembly of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and to the provincial (municipal), city (district) and county people's assemblies to be held on August 3, so as to further strengthen the people's government. The election system of the DPRK is a democratic and popular one.
Every citizen above 17 enjoys the freedom to participate in elections to vote and to be elected on the universal and equal election principle irrespective of sex, nationality, occupation, residence period, property, knowledge, party affiliation, political view and religious belief.
Any able citizen who is faithful to the country and people can be elected, without discrimination and restriction, as deputies to power bodies at all levels.
The candidates for deputies to the people's assemblies at all levels are nominated at voters' meetings of residential quarters, institutions, enterprises, cooperative organizations, schools and army units.
The method of nominating and electing candidates for deputies fully embodies socialist democracy: the will of the voters are reflected well in the election results.
Elections are held by the method of secret ballot on the principle of direct voting. the voters express their will in a free atmosphere.
Those citizens who are unable to go to the polling stations for various reasons are provided with all conditions so as to directly vote and express their will.
The forthcoming elections will mark an important occasion in further strengthening the revolutionary power of the working people and consolidating the singlehearted unity of the whole society.

He looks like he's either trying to look tough, or he's constipated.
I'd say constipated.

Memo from POTUS to DPRK Army Officers:

Yes, we know you are ready to die for Kim Jong-Il; but are you ready to die for him TODAY?

Just as a note here to FReepers, apparantly the NNN TV video links / URLS are no longer good today. Should be a way to archive them here so if the TV station changes the link to a newer story, we can somehow still see the intended video. (9:12 a.m. Eastern Time Tuesday.)

100% vote? Absolute proof-positive that North Koreans adore their Dear Leader.

How dare the USA interfere when it is clear that everyone in North Korea is happy with their situation?

"International A.N.S.W.E.R" and "Democracy Now", in search of their next socialist/anti-US crusade, may well cite these figures as proof that the Kim Jong il regime enjoys wide support from the Korean masses, and that Uncle Sam and Bush should just 'lay off'.

Fuji runs news programs in the US daily, I believe, for about 30 minutes. It is from the early evening news show they broadcast in Japan about 10 hours earlier, I believe. Lots of North Korean clips from the satellite these days.

Here is a new clip for you, from today (Tuesday) from JNN news in Tokyo relaying North Korean TV. The North Korean announcer on communist state controlled Pyongyang TV proclaims that the 6-country talks on NK nukes will start in Beijing. Note the emotional way he reads the script. They always talk this way, and they always shoot views of the TV announcer on a half screen to make him look small. Only full screen images of Kim Jong il are allowed. Freaky. Truly Freaky.
