An executive of South Korean car group Hyundai who was on trial over a payments scandal has jumped to his death.
Chung Mong-hun, 55, leapt 12 storeys from the company's office building in Seoul.
He had been on trial for his role in a scandal in which prosecutors said South Korea paid hundreds of millions of dollars to communist North Korea.
South Korean media said that Chung had left a four-page will for his wife and for Hyundai bosses.
They reported Chung did not say why he was taking his life.
Chung was the fourth son of the late Chung Ju-yung, founder of what was once South Korea's largest business conglomerate.
He was chairman of the unlisted Hyundai Asan Co, which spearheads South Korean business projects in North Korea.
On news of Chung's death, shares of Hyundai Merchant and Marine Corp fell 6%.

1. What were the allegations in the bribery trial?
2. Was this bribery said to have occurred on the Arkansas Antichrist's watch?
3. Since the recent election in South Korea is said to have resulted in an "upset" victory by a candidate who wishes to schmooze the NORTH Korean monster, are there connections to the new South Korean president?
4. Why is Hyundai trying to do business in NORTH Korea? Is it because NORTH Korean slave wages provide greater profits to the usual gang of investors than paying free South Koreans?
5. Does this tie into WTO, GATT and other international trade schemes designed to impoverish working folk?
6. What role, if any, is played by Red China?
7. Can this be tied to Mrs. Antichrist in anyway? Union workers here would really appreciate her efforts to transfer jobs to slave nations to improve investors' bottom lines. It might be a stumbling block to her political future, including her ability to be re-elected or even remain in the Senate?
Probably wishful thinking, but I can dream.
