Anyone remember the disgraceful way the pilot of Bock's Car was treated on the today show?
Sorry, missed that one...please give a few lines of fill-in.
I have some questions about subjects on Nagasaki that I've heard (but not researched).
1. Is it true that Nagasaki really was the most Christianized city in Japan?
(I've heard it was about 10% Christian/Catholic.)
2. Is it true that the Nagasaki Cathedral (Catholic) was used for sighting the dropping
of the bomb from Bock's Car?
These are friendly questions; I'm anti-revisionist. The Japanese were lucky they
weren't carpet-, fire-, and A-bombed into history after Pearl Harbor, Bataan, and a
solid string of affronts to cilivization.

I don't know off hand if that is true, but Nagasaki was not the primary target- that was the Kokura Arsenal, but it was too cloud covered. The only secondary target was Nagasaki and the plane only had enough fuel for one pass over the city. And the rest as they say, is history.
Basically the tele-bimbo interviewing Major Sweeney said, "Don't you feel bad for the evil thing you did?"
Major Sweeney- "Hell no!"
