The California State Assembly has also just snuck in a $400,000 budget item that will finance the building of an AIDS memorial in the shape of the pagan Aztec god Quetzalcoatl. I always thought the "separation of church and state" crowd was a bit, um, biased. Here's the proof of their hypocrisy.

I am trying to understand the significance of Quezacatl to an AIDS memorial. It makes no sense. Are they now going to offer public mass human sacrafice followed by a cannibal feast at this memorial?
Of course Quetzacatl was the "feathered serpent". Perhaps that has some Freudian connection.
