The question is why Disney and Miramax seem to only pick Christians. Evidently the studio is Miramax.
The media likes to exploit the downside or perversion of some elements of Christianity because (1) it sells, and (2) they do tend to be anti-Christian in our time.
Nevertheless, the right hand needs to be aware of what the left hand has been doing.
To be fair, I think some protestants might have been as mean-spirited, vindictive and exploitive as those nuns at times.
The reason movies depicting Catholics in a bad light are made with impunity is that Catholics nowadays don't stand up for their deepest principles. The Church has not been vocal enough on abortion, on homosexual marriage, defending the boy scouts etc... There hasn't even been a repudiation of "Catholic" politicians who vote against the faith of the Catholic church and against people who espouse those beliefs. Jewish groups punish people who f*ck with their faith. As the saying goes: If you don't stand for something... With that said, All Christians should unite against the smearing of any type of Christians whether Catholic or not. These Hollyweird people hate all of us equally. Boycott Miramax. Boycott Disney.
