A fire that destroyed a five-story apartment complex under construction may be the work of a domestic terrorist group, fire officials said Friday.

The early morning fire caused more than $20 million in damage to the unfinished, wood-framed building in the upscale University Town Centre residential neighborhood. No injuries were reported.

The loose-knit group describes itself as "an international underground organization that uses direct action in the form of economic sabotage to stop the destruction of the natural environment." It has claimed responsibility for dozens of fires and other acts since 1997, causing $50 million in damages to luxury homes, ski lodges and sport utility vehicles. There was no immediate claim of responsibility posted on the group's Web site.

Meanwhile FBI is chasing militias, religious nuts, while terorists are doing their thing. Where is Janet Reno's Waco and Elian "force"? Disarming 2nd amendment?

They target WOOD users and suppliers. Some homes and buildings are framed with steel. Personally, I prefer a wood frame house; as many in California do - - wood will bend easier than steel during earthquakes.
