Ah, Luis...you've stumbled on one of the advantages of third parties. They can have all the answers because they know they will never have to try and impliment them. It makes planning and execution so much easier when there is no execution.

Adults make decisions based upon how things are.

Children make decisions based upon how they would like things to be.

Children pretend the world is going to adapt to their desires.

Adults realize they must adapt to the world, to best get what they want.

Children think the world should be perfect, and if it's not, they quit or try to obstruct what's going on.

Adults make the best of what is, knowing it could be much better, acknowledging how wonderful it already is.

Maybe someday there will be a better person than Bush to vote for. I hope so. I personally would like to see a perfect man get elected.

But right now the adults will be voting for Bush.

It makes planning and execution so much easier when there is no execution.

It makes planning and execution so much easier when there is a plan to be executed. If you see any signs of a plan to decrease spending and restrain the expansion of governmnet rivalled only by LBJ's Great Society and FDR's New Deal, by all means feel free to let us know...

third parties

What do you mean third party - that would suggest that there is some difference between the Dems and Republicans bigger than a 15 year time shift.

The Republican Party no longer stands for restraining the growth of government, nor fiscal responsibility.

The Republicans voted (minus 2) to call a welfare grant of taxpayer money a tax refund.

They are now getting ready to socialize retirement drug care.

The majority of the excessive government growth has not been in defense or anti terrorism (hey, but what a good excuse).

Tell me honestly – did we move towards Socialism as fast under Clinton as we are under GWB? (And I think Clinton should probably be in jail).

The problem is that the rank and file Republicans want hand-outs and when the government starts handing it out, we all lose. We are losing ground pretty fast for controlling the house – Senate and Executive.

No one expects the entire program of limited-government Constitutionalist conservatism to be implemented overnight. You would expect, however, that a "conservative" administration, "compassionate" or otherwise, from a "conservatie" party would move the ball in our direction somewhat..Begin to restore constitutional government. Get as much as we can and then come back and fight for more, as the liberals do.

Not thi sparty and not this Administration. They have raised social and other discretionary (i.e. non-defense) spending more than Dimmycraps. They are every bit as much a socialist, Big Government party now as the Dems are.

As conservatives, what have they done to deserve our support? Why should we continue to support a party that just increases the size, scope, cost, and intrusiveness of government?
