And I wouldn't be surprised if there were much better Anglican parishes in Africa that have sister congregations in the US.

They already do. It's called the Anglican Mission in America.

On the heels of his initial and successful outing of June 29 to Atlanta, The Most Rev. Benjamin Nwankiti, retired Archbishop of Province Two and former Dean of the Church of Nigeria, inaugurated a second Anglican outpost in New York on Sunday, July 20, 2003.

His host, The Rev. Dr. M. Joe Omeokwe is an Anglican priest and professor and department head in the City of New York University system. He used to serve at the rectory of a local Episcopal church until he incurred the wrath of ECUSA for voicing his belief that homosexuality is unnatural, unchristian, unbiblical and has no place in the church.
