Oh, I don't think that's melodramatic in the least.

I would bet that they ARE watching him.
Anyone who would pen something this vitriolic is apt to come unhinged at any moment.

I thought that too. My dad once wrote a pretty scathing letter to Clinton, Kennedy, and the governor of Delaware.

The local post office master who he is friendly with told him that his mail was being held and looked at by the feds each day. This went on for about two months.

My dad is a strange guy. His mail would freak me out just sitting on the kitchen counter. Everything from Gun's-n-ammo to porn for the elderly, to mailorder military surplus, to responses from personal ads which made me cringe. Then his weekly list of politicians and other dishonorable folk would get his usual rants which sounded a lot like this Morford guy, only from a crazy conservative would be dispatched each week.

I will not even let my kids alone with him.
