In today's political climate, yes. The left uses the homosexuals as another of its victim groups in need of special treatment by the law. Therefore, their attitudes and political positions are of importance, not just as sterile thought, but in context.

Good point. But in a world of pure motives and honest debate based on facts, such issues as sexuality, race, gender, and religion would render many of the agenda's of the left and right ineffective. Divide and conquer I guess.
