Take a long walk. Take up a hobby. Take some deep breaths. Patience, patience, patience.
But don't bother me between 6 p.m CDT and 11 p.m. CDT on Monday, okay? I'll be otherwise occupied.

I AM READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL!!Ya wanna know how bad we have it? We went to the opening day at the Packers training camp. All we saw were rookies & first year players. It wasn't enough for a truly football-addicted Packer stockholder. I NEED FOOTBALL!!!

I call opening day of pre-season the most pathetic day of the year. Because all of us junkies are going to watch every minute of that game. And we already know going in that because it's the first pre-season game of the year it's going to suck eggs, the starters will be gone in a couple of possessions, the third string will be done by the end of the first half, by the fourth quarter we'll be watching guys that aren't even going to make the practice squad.
But we will watch every minute.
Because we are junkies.
And we haven't had a fix for 7 months.
Luckily there's beer, properly distributed we won't even remember the 4th quarter.
Woohoo football is BACK... almost.

all 144 living members of the Hall have been invited back to Canton, the birthplace of pro football in 1920 Bull. The NFL started in Canton, but the first professional to ever play played in Latrobe, PA in a game against Jeannette.

That means that Bucs and Jets fans will be able to see the game live on ESPN2 at 5 a.m. (ET) on Saturday. My 15 year old son is setting his alarm to get up and watch the game.
He doesn't think the replay will be any fun because he'll already know who won.
Anything that can get a 15 year old out of bed at 5 AM on a Saturday is okay with me.

Go Texans! Right on! We don't start pre-season until next week vs. Denver, but we do have a scrimmage in San Antonio on Saturday against the Loser Scum from the North (Dallas).

The big question will be will Chris Simms get any playing time for TB and how many interceptions will he throw?

Game should be over by 8 or 9. Make sure the lawnmower is fueled, time for the boy to earn his keep.

It must be nice, living in a town that has professional football. Unfortunately for me, I live in Seattle.

NFL Commissioner Paul Tagliabue, whose idea it was to stage the first reunion. "The Hall of Fame's 40th Anniversary is the perfect occasion to again pay tribute to the game's greatest contributors."
In Breaking News, Tagliabue decides to "fine" the white spectators at this game for not inviting minorities to take one of their seats......
