President Bush, once again, is absolutely correct. It's called structural unemployment, and is one component of four that make up the total unemployment figure. This whole business of "cheap labor" driving immigration misses the main point that not enough Americans get compsci degrees.

This whole business of "cheap labor" driving immigration misses the main point that not enough Americans get compsci degrees. As long as wages continue to decline in tech fields, how do you suppose we get more people to get compsci degrees or training? How about those up-to-date skilled Americans who still get the boot because they demand a livable salary?
