Things the government CAN do:
1. Cut taxes dramatically (not just little weinie cuts)
2. Reduce the incredible burden of regulations (OSHA and EPA . . . most states have their own anyway)
3. Protect our borders
4. Eliminate capital gains taxes . . .
5. Cut government spending (eliminate Dept of Educ, Federal EPA, etc.)

These things, and I'm sure others, can be championed by good, well-focused, federal executive leadership. He has a bully pulpit. He should use it and quit playing kissy-face with the libs.

#4 - tried to do that, got voted down in the Senate. Hopefully will try again. But agree.

#6 (last paragraph) Don't agree. I think he has used the bully pulpit, but is undercut in the Senate by Republicans (Voinovich being one of them). Though a veto every once is while to show them that he means business would not be a bad idea...
