NORTH Korea has agreed to hold six-nation multilateral talks over its nuclear standoff with the United States, the Russian foreign ministry said in a statement on Thursday.

The statement said the message was delivered by North Korea's ambassador to Moscow, Pak Ui Chun, during a meeting Thursday with Deputy Foreign Minister Yury Fedotov.

That's a major cave from their previous position but this game still has a ways to go.

This is a wonderful mechanism for Korea to multiply 6 fold the payoff for saying they won't be bad. anymore. 6 nations can now pool their funds to payoff NK. If this goes well, then when the money runs out in a few years this can be repeated with 12 countries for even more $$$'s.

Watch we ask for. I'd pony up for the pay per view to see the looks on their faces when we state that ONSITE US officials will dole out food/oil/$$$ for every brick handed to them from the yongbin reactor, and for each pellet of radioactive material.

They are'nt dealing with Sinky anymore...

Plus, if they want to keep pussyfooting around with diplomacy, that works just fine. Connie Rice has said "no more wars until after re-election". Set your Whoop-A$$ clocks to February, 2005.

Sounds like progress, but it's not. N Kor is merely withdrawing a condition they imposed months ago. Perhaps they have made enough progress in their program so they can afford to drop this delay and set up a fresh delay.

Mayhaps it's because of this:

U.S. Official Says North Korea a 'Hellish Nightmare' (the negotiation for more talks not going well)

I assume the six would be North Korea, South Korea, the US, China, Japan, and Russia (unless NK is not included as a part of the six but Britain is.)

Strangely enough, it could have been the words out of the mouth of Uday indicating that Bush is no Clinton that resonated louder than any other.
