No argument it is going to be painful for the man. I think he is going to lose a lot more than he had anticipated for the pleasure he received...

I do think that Kobe has no upside here...If it is disclosed he cheats on his wife regularly, he loses...

If he admits that he prefers what some believe is distasteful sex, he loses...

If she has significant injuries and he comes off as a man willing to beat or assault women when it suits him, he loses...

The girl might as well pack up and move to an Amish Farm or a part of Germany where they don't care about American Pop Culture if she gets smeared too much...Small towns are difficult enough to live in without everyone knowing and discussing your business...

I think the injuries and credibility of the accusing party will still decide the case but with the element of withdrawn consent still requiring a conviction, the defense has a significant burden...

Reminds me of the discussion that took place on the radio where someone stated that the reason so many high level individuals engage prostitutes is not that they are paying someone to stay with them...They are paying the person to leave...

Well said....there are many lessons to be learned from this story at both angles.

The two most obvious competing lessons are as old as sex and celebrity.

Male celebs should be very careful about their encounters with women strangers especially if they are married.

Women should be aware of inserting themselves into potentially dangerous situations which they cannot control

Imagine if he was guilty and she was armed legally and shot him.

First, I want to make it perfectly clear that I have not had sex since my divorce and will not have sex until I remarry. That said, in discussing the issue of sex with several (9-10) middle-aged Christian women, three of them exprssed their enjoyment of anal activity or an interest in experimenting with it within marriage. Not having ever experimented with this particular activity, I'm still not quite sure what to think of it. I suppose if a woman wants anal intercourse, it could hardly be considered pressuring her into an activity she is uncomfortable with and not inconsistent with the principle that a married couple only engage in sexual acts that are mutually desireable.
