U.S. forces intensified their hunt for Saddam Hussein near his hometown of Tikrit on Wednesday as Secretary of State Colin Powell called Iraq's former leader "a piece of trash waiting to be collected.
"Saddam is no longer bad news," Powell told Reuters. "The noose is tightening, but I can't speculate on how close one might be to actually capturing Saddam."

They can scrape him up with a stick and a spoon.
Or maybe a blotter?

I'm sure the sand fleas and worms have already cleaned up the debris. Buzzards wouldn't touch it, they have standards. Seriously, I still think Saddam is no longer among the living.

"Saddam is no longer bad news," Powell told Reuters. "The noose is tightening, but I can't speculate on how close one might be to actually capturing Saddam." President Bush, in a Rose Garden press conference, also said he did not know how close U.S. forces were to finding Saddam, who was ousted April 9.
I just wanted to emphasize this part for everyone. Because in a couple of weeks if they haven't nabbed Hussein, we'll start seeing posts how "the Administration said we would get him in 24 hours! What happened?"
You know the drill.

"I don't think it's going to be a satellite that catches Saddam Hussein," Martin said. "I think it's going to be a soldier with a rifle."
It always comes down to the grunt on the ground getting the job done.

I'm betting that, if he's still alive, he's staying in one spot to avoid detection by humans and satellites. With a small band of trusted bodyguards, all wearing their heaven-sent body explosives.
