I do not relish criticizing a conservative of Irish descent, but I just don't understand Hannity's appeal. Frankly, he just doesn't seem to have a very good grasp of the issues; nor experience in building and presenting a cogent argument. I'm a bit embarrassed that he and I agree on many issues.
Also, the introduction to his radio show is worse than silly: Scott Shannon's ridiculous 'scary voice' blathering ("the last beacon of truth in a troubled time") over Carmina Burana etc. Am I the only one who feels this way?

I'm kind of a rabid dog when it comes to conservatism, being one of the original Freepers and all, but I just like to listen to Sean Hannity. I can only take small doses of Rush Limbaugh, even though I recognize his importance to our side. I can listen to Sean all the way home, and longer.

Sean is a nice guy, and people like him. We need him badly. He's kind of like "point man" on the patrol - but he kills the other side with kindness, without relinquishing any territory to them.
