Perhaps you, or your ghostwriters, should read today's Washington Post. Here is an excerpt from an article by April Witt:
BAGRAM, Afghanistan, July 30 -- The chairman of the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff said today that the Iraq conflict is providing important intelligence on al Qaeda and is not sapping resources from the war against international terrorism in Afghanistan and elsewhere.
"People should be assured there has not been any lessening of our ability to go after al Qaeda because of the operations in Iraq," Air Force Gen. Richard B. Myers told reporters during a one-day visit to Afghanistan, his fifth stop in a tour of the Middle East and Asia.
"In fact, just the opposite, we're getting very good intelligence from operations in Iraq on the al Qaeda and it's been very helpful in understanding the network and tracking down some of the leadership"...
There are other nations that provide safe harbor for terrorists as well. We have at least somewhat better relationships with them than we did with Saddam Hussein.
