My bet it that the verdict and it's possible aftermath are going to be positive.

Our society has learned that coddling rioters is risky business. LA's new chief is no nonsense and has already done an endaround on the bleeding hearts at the state level.

Expect that the chief will ask for federal assistance, not state assistance, if racists stir up the ghetto. Expect "full contact" responses to the obligatory "race riot" that the social underbelly of LA can so quickly produce.

The new chief just might be tested. The media is doing it's best to stir the pot.

I hope you're right but the Palestinian effect comes into play here.

The Palestinians are rewarded for terrorism with aide, prison releases, and the promise of their own state.

The Rodney King rioters werre rewarded with re-development money and new shopping centers.

Bad behavior rewarded.

Hell, they might get a football stadium this time.

FYI -

L.A.'s police chief has no control over Inglewood, which has its own department and chief. Inglewood is in the County of L.A., but not the City.
