Democratic State Controller Steve Westly on Monday urged California voters not to recall Gov. Gray Davis, calling the Oct. 7 election ``a distraction from good public policy'' that could cost the state an extra $1 billion in higher borrowing costs over the next three decades.

The same media that helped perpetuate the reign of terror by the socialists is now using the ultimate scare tactics. For shame...

Standard & Poor's attributed its action to a slow adoption of a state budget ``aggravated by the gubernatorial recall election,'' but also cited a number of other factors, including a two-thirds vote requirement in the legislature to pass a budget and intensified lobbying by various interest groups.

Strange...over spending causes most families to get into "credit" problems...but it's not a factor in a state's credit rating....hmmmmmmm....

I'm more afraid of what'll happen if Davis isn't dumped.

When California democrats agonize over spending taxpayer money, you KNOW that it's on some corrective to their ongoing bankrupcy scenario. That newspapers are circling the wagons to protect Davis is instructive.

Liberals whine the election will cost $30M. This is a laughable argument that will only brainwash the liberal faithful. The truth: Davis is squandering MORE than $30M a DAY with his budget mismanagment...putting us in red ink to the tune of $30B! It's important to remind people of this statistic though.
