That does it. I know my wife and I have an anniversary coming up in 3 weeks. But I am going to renounce my marriage, my sexuality, and take up with Harvey. He was on tv, and he was... Gay(sob, sob). I couldn't control myself. I am going to move to Vermont and get the civil ceremony done with right away.

I used to think that closet case, was just a pejorative word for people who were religiously opposed to homosexuality. But now, I wonder if there isn't a grain of truth to that.

It is one thing to say that I believe the bible is true, therefore I oppose homosexuality. It is quite another to have all these fearful conversion fantasies, and ludicrous outrage over a make-over show.

I know a very good christian, devout devout christian, who believes homosexuality is wrong. He is nothing but loving and christ like though to a lesbian co-worker. She knows what he believes, he knows what he believes, if she asks him, he will tell her. He does not spin paranoid thoughts about mass conversion movements, and that allowing your wife to watch Ellen will turn her into... one of them.

I suspect some of these people are secretly attracted, in some small part, to people of the same sex, and fighting off those urges, drives them a bit fruity(pardon the pun).

I am not in the least bit suggesting that those who are fundamentalists change their views on homosexuals. I just get tired of the "Reefer Madness" aspect of their diatribes.

"Reefer Madness" is a phoney argument. That movie had nothing to do with keeping people off of drugs. The filmmakers wanted to show 70 minutes of sinning (violence, sex/nudity, and delerium); it's called EXPLOITATION cinema.

Packaging it as an "expose" was an excuse to put it on the screen. The filmmakers and the audiences knew what they were getting (films more risque than those that adhered to the Hayes code).

I know many homosexuals and I care a lot about them. I treat them with love and respect. I hate the agenda of the militant queers who want to recruit young children to their ranks. Shows like this just normalizes homosexuality. I don't think people who are against that are closet queens.

... most probably correct.

and the louder they scream, the harder it is to assume any other explanation.

You sound no different than any other liberal when they sarcastically laugh at conservatives who complain about bias in the media. Their standard response goes something like this -

"Bias? Media bias???? What the !@#$#%& are you afraid of? So what if Dan Rather is a Democrat? I suppose you're afraid that one night you might accidentally tune your TV into Dan, and after watching him for 5 minutes you're going to immediately renounce your Republican Party membership and join the Democrat Party! HA HA HA!!! LOL!!! ROTFLMAO!!!!! Boy am I such a wit!!! Is my sarcastic humor the greatest wonderfullest thing you ever read or what? Ho ho ho!!!! I mean hey, did my overwhelmingly devastatingly superior wit just lay to rest once and for all the issue of Media Bias, or didn't it? ROFL!!!! Sometimes I'm so funny I scare myself!"

Anyway, that's exactly the way you come across.
