How about 'SAD', an acronym for Sexually Addicted Deviant...

Hell, I'm a sexually addicted deviant, and I'm as straight as they come. I love lots of sex with the love of my life, and occasionally we (gasp) deviate from the missionary position.

Shocking, I know. Does anyone have a 12-step program for me?

The truly SAD thing is the vitriol that threads like these unearth. I live in Los Angeles, and as messed-up as our city (and state) is, one thing I am very happy about is the general level of tolerance here.

Years ago, prior to the rise of 'aids', my girlfiend of the time worked at the Fashion Mart in LA. So on a couple of occasions we were invited to parties at the homes of people with whom she worked. Most were homosexual.

Not wanting to be judgemental, I went along with the entire process, but I didn't find a normal, outgoing party atmosphere. 'Gay' men are not very happy, caught up in their own inner worlds of intolerance towards their own partners' endless infidelities and the 'outside' world, which somehow frustrates them, too. Yes, a guy tried to recruit me, but failing that, I was simply made to feel as an outcast.

Many years have passed and the basic premise of 'gaydom' still seems based on a rejection of functioning among 'normal' people, not any real biological disfunction. Misery loves company...
