Umm, no kidding. I never said a specific gene had been isolated, nor did I say that the X chromosome accounts for ALL occurrence of homosexuality (a claim which is ludicrous based on the fact that biology is only one -- an important one, but only one nevertheless -- aspect of determining homosexual behavior). I merely said (correctly) that homosexuality had been isolated to the X chromosome, and that that happened way back in 1993.

So it is genetic and environmental? Or it can just be genetic? Or it can just be environmental?

Do you even know what genetics is?

It can be any of the above, although reasonable people can differ as to the degree of biological influence. I believe, with significant scientific basis IMO, that the biological influence is substantial, and generally greater than environmental factors.

It is the people who deny there is any biological basis at all who are refusing to face reality. These are often the same type of people who don't believe in evolution, but I digress.

Do you even know what genetics is?

Yes.

Okay, this is the tale of my 6 year old identical twin daughters.

One of them is extremely girly. Loves dressing likes princesses, loves playing with baby dolls, and spends hours fixing her hair just the right way. I mean she is a total girly girl.

My other daughter loves playing sports and computers. She loves wearing her brothers clothes. etc. She even tries to pee standing up. She says she is a Tom Boy.

If the one turned out to be gay, I don't know what I would do. However, they are genetically the same and they are being raised in the same environment.

Now, I don't let my "Tom Boy" daughter get away with being a "Tom Boy" all the time. She has to dress up for certain occasions. Thank goodness, she is totally into make-up and jewlry. She also loves doing art projects. She also wants to grow her hair long, and I am very glad about that. The girls and I also love to do our nail together. And both girls do like it when I bring home lots of new clothes for them. I think she really just loves her big brother a lot, and likes to copy him. (At least, I hope so.)
