Male nature, with its ability to be sexually attracted to anything and its need for a direct expression of sexual appetites can justify just about anything
"Male?" The only time
I personally witnessed
sex lead to violence
was when a young man
I knew developed a crush
on a lesbian.
Her lover warned him
to stay away, and when he
persisted, she beat
the crap out of him.
Both genders get weird when they
live the freaky life.

Using 'gayness' as an excuse for behavior seems to be becoming popular.
The Episcopal Bishop elect, who is trying to get approved by the General Convention this week, is a gay man living with a gay lover.
The thing is, this guy left a wife and two (I think - two) children to move in with the lover. If the lover had been a woman, he would have automatically forfeited his right to consideration for a bishopric. However, apparently you CAN'T HELP stuff when you are guy.
What a nice out for them!

(Despite many embarrassments, I steadfastly refuse to preview.)

You are right, except that when people get voter-registration forms, it still says Liberal Party and Right to Life Party, with little boxes to be checked off if the person chooses to join those parties.
Those are extinct parties in the sense that they don't have the rights of the other parties--to hold primaries, to circulate petitions during the main petition-circulating period, etc., but they are still there on the form, possibly keeping right-to-lifers from, for example, joining the Conservative Party instead.

Kudos to the Village Voice for keeping Harding's corrupt shenanigans in the news when the Post, Daily Snooze and Times wouldn't touch it.
