Oh, a very fine look indeed in post #26!
I also remember a significant look as W stood in the rain at the Capitol waiting for the Inauguration Parade to begin--held up because of the lengthy "It's all about me" bash that Clintoon held at the airport.

My favorite "look" is the one W gave to Al "Uncle Milty" Gore at that one debate....dismissed him like a fly.

Cheney has what appears to be a sly smile in two of those shots. Interesting contrast to W.

We need this every once in a while. We get caught up in this pessimistic spiral- liberals are attacking us, the media is getting rabid again, Bush may not be fighting back enough....but look, WE ARE winning. Bush is excellent in office, he's posting strong approval numbers (Gallup at 59%), and is strongly positioned for re-election. We've got the House. We have the Senate. President Bush is owed a lot of credit. And we deserve credit for helping make this happen.

As someone posted on FR sometime ago, worth repeating:
"Being liberal means liars prosper, cheats are just ingenious, and words mean whatever they want them to mean. No controlling authority. No truth. No integrity. No honor."
"Truth means nothing to liberals if it doesn't serve their ends. Liberals have always been more than willing to sacrifice truth on the altar of political ideology. That's one thing that separates conservatives from liberals. "
"We recognize the existence of objective truth and have the courage and intellectual honesty to face it, and build our world-view accordingly. Liberals do not, and as such everything becomes relative and subservient to either poltical philosophy or the cult of persoanlity (as in the Clintons)."
"Ideology and personality are the twin gods of liberalism. Truth need not apply."

Truth means nothing to liberals if it doesn't serve their ends.
To a defense attorney, it isn't important whether or not his client is guilty or innocent; what's important is creating "the truth" that gets his client acquitted. It's all about winning.
Liberals are the defense attorneys of politics. Winning at any cost is always the objective. To a liberal, the agenda is the truth. If the agenda demands repeating a lie until it becomes accepted as the truth, so be it. End of story.

i read a bumper sticker the other day that said : "Happiness is a passed pawn"
Dare I fan the freeper flames and suggest that, while I appreciate the sentiment, this article is fairly lame? it isn't original in its argument, it preaches to the choir, and, as we've all already noticed, it uses a non-existent chess move for an analogy.
Sorry. I'm just cranky cuz I threw out my back

At the Inauguration, he swore to do his duty and to protect the nation from all enemies, foreign and domestic, and so far, his performance has been exemplary. Small correction, the oath he took as President said nothing about enemies, foreign and/or domestic. What he did swear to do, as required by Art. II Sec 1 (last paragraph) was to "faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States and to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States". However, I think defending the country comes under the heading of executing the office of President.
He did take the "against all enemies, foreign and domestic" oath, prior to accepting his commision in the USAF Reserve (and the Texas Air National Guard) when he joined the Air Guard. This oath is required by Art VI, last paragraph, of all members of Congress, all state legislators and all Executive and Judicial officers of both the United States and of the several States. It's exact form is not specified by the Consitution, but the federal one is specified by federal law, and does include the "all enemies" language.

If I recall....didn't 'W' lay this look on Clinton when x42 was ogling the Bush twins?? He must not have ogled very hard. Speaking as the father of two blond Texas daughters, young guys are allowed a discrete ogle, but dirty old men are not. If the former Rapist in Chief had truely ogled the Bush Twins, he'd have not left the podium, at least not all in one piece, with his "parts" still all attached.
