Conservative Group Launches New Website to Counter Online Left

Posted on 07/28/2003 5:05:56 PM PDT by Capitalism2003

WASHINGTON, July 28 /U.S. Newswire/

Citizen Outreach, a limited government advocacy organization, launched its new website today, saying its objective is to be a mainstream alternative to MoveOn.org, the leftwing grassroots activist organization which sprung up during Bill Clinton's impeachment. The new website can be accessed at http://www.citizenoutreach.com.

"MoveOn.org has a big, five-year head start on us and they are very well organized," notes Citizen Outreach President and CEO Chuck Muth. "But they're attracting the kooks and the flakes; the socialists and the anarchists; the blame-America-firsters and knee-jerk peaceniks. They huff and they puff and they blow around a lot of hot air, but there's no there there. These guys are nothing but the next generation of bleeding- heart McGovern liberals."

Muth also discounted MoveOn's claims of effective political action. "They lost in their effort to stop the impeachment and they lost their effort to stop the U.S. from removing Saddam Hussein," he said. "On their two signature issues, they're zero-for-two. Not a very impressive record." ---

I just sent the following email to Chuck Muth re: FreeRepublic.com...

"I'd respectfully request that you add FreeRepublic.com to your hotlinks. It has probably the largest assemblage of grass root conservatives on the Internet. They are already promoting your site to their fellow members. "

I took a look at the site and let me say as a dedicated foot soldier, I will not support it in any way, shape, or form. Their ridiculous charge that the Congress will cause another "Tylenonal murder"- raising the scare that terrorists will attack us through medicine that can be bought overseas is immensely irresponsible, untrue, and digusting Pharma propaganda. A number of Republicans voted for that bill and Pharma's lobbying against the GOP members has been bordering on illegal. These guys play dirty and they obviously bought off Chuck Muth or whomever runs that site.
