Mr Hopes plane overnighted at The Monroe, Louisiana Airport where I was working at the time. I spoke to the pilots as they sat in the plane having a drink, (their flying was over for two days). I asked them what Mr. Hope was "really" like. They informed me that the kindness and humor he displayed on the stage is what he really is. I also noticed the pilots were drinking a very fine and old Scotch Whiskey and I commented on it. His exact words were, "it is Mr. Hope's Whiskey and he knows we are drinking it!"

The two pilots showed real affection and respect for Bob Hope. They always refered to him as "Mr Hope."

I haven't met or heard of one single person say an unkind thing about this wonderful man. Your great story only confirms what everyone else is saying.. What you saw is what you got with Bob Hope .. Thank you so very much for sharing your memories with us.
