My brother saw him at one of his Christmas shows in Vietnam. Bob Hope publicly stood up for the soldiers and their families when most of the rest of Hollywood did everything to tear us down. Remember the Academy Awards when some radical swine got an Oscar for his pro-communist documentary called Hearts and Minds and Bob Hope and Frank Sinatra immediately came out with a public disclaimer? It took guts to stand up against the prevailing views in the weirdo crapital of the world. May Godspeed Bob Hope on his journey to Heaven.

Hope was one of those guys like Burns and Benney you never heard anything negative about, because there wasn't anything really negitive about them. They seemed above the rest of Hollywood.
