excellent post, this is what is going on with discussion too. Even in public gatherings you can't voice your opinion in favor of conservative posititions because you don't want to be labeled. I know young conservative lawyers who simply can't be open with their opinions because they work for the state or public defenders and that would be suicide for their careers. (imagine a PD who says homosexuals can seek treatment for their behavior? or one PD who can't admit to the pro-gore feminist supervisor he is assigned to that he voted for Bush.)

BTW moving firearms discretely is always a good policy regardless.
