CA: All parties consider recall bids

The gubernatorial recall has turned into an old-fashioned game of chicken, in which two cars head right at each other and everyone waits to see which will swerve first.

Gray Davis is driving one car with fellow Democrats in the back seat, most of them insisting the governor should steer but wondering if he is about to kill them all.

Quite frankly, I hope the Rats win the election. A Republican winner would be so constrained by a hostile Rat electorate and the Rat controlled legislature that he would be able to accomplish nothing except "proving" to the Rat constituency that Republicans shouldn't govern. The state is in such a financial mess that it would be better for the Rats to have to deal with it and take the blame for failure, even if it means Davis survives. Davis has been damaged to the point that he will never again be a viable candidate. The mission, in that respect, has been successfully completed.

As much as I would like to see Davis get tossed out on his corrupt butt, I shudder to think what will happen if he is recalled and a Republican governor elected. The California press will ignore all the insanity that has gone on for decades and blame everything from unemployment to acne on the new governor. It would be much better if Davis survives so that his and the other dims' corruption and incompetence is on center stage during the next election.

The newspaper the editorial is out of is a Leftist piece of garbage. The Mockery News. Diane Fiendstein and Leon Poonyetta would be worse than Davis. But they still hope for their failed idols and hope by sending out their prayers in print that their gods will hear them. If you noticed the car crash analogy at the beginning. It is an inductive argument. Arguments from weak analogy are not logical. Car crashes and elections have nothing categorically common to each other.
