I hope Republican strategists are analyzing how to defeat this very dangerous person in 2004/8.

One thing is clear: she must not be attacked personally.

Instead, Republicans must attack the mess that was left in 2000 by the democrat administration :

1. A recession
2. A stock market bubble
3. A weakened defense
4. Overreaching intrusive government
5. Medicare run amuck by lawyers
6. A dangerous tendency towards loss of sovereignty.

What Americans remember is that their 401k's were wiped out on Clinton's watch.

Hillary Clinton will defend herself against attacks of having no concern for America's military by pointing to her membership on the Armed Services committee.

Hillary Clinton will defend herself against all personal attacks by acting as if the attack was over the top and that she has been unjustly victimized.

The Republicans that debate her must remember one thing: never ask Hillary a question that gives her the opportunity to spin an answer. In fact, in my opinion it would be best not to ask her any questions at all, rather ignore her. Liberals (and she is the alpha liberal) hate to be ignored, and the best weapon against liberalism is indifference.

Another good weapon against Hillary is to make her so angry that she vents in public. But beware she will have others plan scandals, fabrications and distractions all for the purpose of keeping the focus off her opponent's strengths.

Another good strategy is to make her repeat herself. Recall the Healthcare Express with buses heading across the country in the same repeated manner as the first term campaign. It made people think that they were being manipulated, and they were.

Also remember there is a difference between being smart and being cunning. Both involve having superior vision but with different motivations. Hillary is cunning, not smart.

I see a Republican candidate winning easily who is serious and focused on what they will do, not on attacking Hillary. Attacks on Hillary play to her sleazy tabloid publicity and for a reason that escapes most conservatives, this type of distractive publicity brings out sympathizers to her agenda.

7. Osama bin Laden
8. Saddam Hussein
9. No progress on mid-East peace, after 8 years of coddling Arafat.

Hillary will call every attack (whether on her record as a co-president, Jr. Senator, lawyer, all else) a vicious personal attack. There will be nothing we can say that she will not declare a vicious personal attack. But we cannot let that stop us. I know from past behavior during her previous run for carpetbagger from NY that the leadership in the (R) party will be afraid to call it like it is. That job, if it is to be done, will likely fall on us. I am disappointed in the spineless behavior of most of our (R) politicians and leaders.

I believe you're right. The Republican candidate should be serious and focused. That is what we want in a leader. Leave the sleazy tabloid attacks to us FReepers! :o)
