As far as the Clintons are concerned, I was and am indignant, infuriated, exasperated over anything and everything they did and do, including a useless expenditure of American manpower and resources in areas of the globe that are of no benefit to the US; his selling our secrets to China; his open border policies (which the current President has not changed); his advocacy of "free trade" (at least President Bush put tariffs on steel; that's a start); over Slick's inability to keep his trousers up; over Hillary's inability to be anything other than a bitch; over everything they touched. I consider both to be pure evil, and it is not a term I use lightly.
I often do, on this forum, get myself into hot water over my choice of words, and some of that, I admit, is intentional. It seems if I give a standard milquetoast post, I get either no response, or unbelievable sappy an meaningless responses. It's the intellectual equivalent of talking to myself, and I'm not that interesting.
So, yes, I often do say things to provoke responses, and perhaps I could be more tactful (and I will try). But it is discouraging that so many people are so quick to jump on the "I am outraged!!" bandwagon, without considering the issues.
Critical thinking requires that one be critical of self as well.
That is a hard thing to do.
