Huffington Sr. quietly bought most of downtown Houston between Main St. and US 59. That alone was probably worth more than 80 Million $$$.
I think I remember a Japanese co. buying something from Huffco, possibly the real estate. The oil and gas co. was 100% family owned last I heard. I had a friend who was a VP.
Roy Huffington looks just like John Wayne. He's a workaholic but I thought he had a doctorate and worked for Gulf until he quit to start Huffco in l962.
None of that is impoortant but either David or Michael has re-written history.
Michael was a joke with Huffco employees when he worked there. The employees loved Roy Huffington.
Interestingly, Michael's sister has been successful in her professional and private life. Last I heard.
