I like the scene from the movie "Deliver Us From Eva" with Gabrielle Union and rapper LL Cool J.
Before they went on a date Gabrielle's character starts screaming about the dangers of tiny cars. LL Cool J then says "that's why I drive this" and clicks the auto alarm for this huge meat semi-truck. Hilarious!

Simple fuel-efficiency math::
An SUV that gets 15 mpg carrying 5 passengers = 75 mpg
Most of the SUV's I see in California are used by families and carpoolers.
