But you all need to remember that there are plenty of us out there who were born outside this country, to parents who were natural-born, but where one or the other happened to be serving in the armed forces, or may have been traveling for other reasons.
In my case, my father was serving in the army in Stuttgart, Germany and I was born in the hospital there.
I am naturalized, and can never be president, even though both of my parents were natural-born citizens and had in no way given up their citizenship.
Should a person, born to natural-born citizens who just happened to be in a different country on the day they were born, and who has been a citizen themselves since being naturalized at a young age, and then raised in this country, be deprived of the opportunity to be president due to an arcane requirement set over two hundred years ago when travel occurred either by foot or by horseback?
