The ring was commissioned many days ago. His wife probably has known about adultery since almost right after the sheriffs came to get his DNA.

The ring is a REALLY lame story. It sheds about zero light on the incident or even credibility. or have you not thought that he has to "make up" for his misdeed and public humiliation of his wife. Like many men he thinks "flowers" are going to do the trick. We know that ain't happenin' but to look at it as a "payoff" is a stretch.

For your #5, I hardly think he dragged her to that press conference. If anything he was made to have it and his lawyers advised her to come along. heck, she may have demanded to be there! Your point is not a fact, just speculation. He had to publically admit to adultery, but it WOULD be kind of lame to do that without his wife there, don't you think?

Your other points are much stronger.

Whether she went to the news conference on the suggestion of his lawyers or free will, it was a stupid idea. There have been several newspaper articles and radio talk shows that have lamblasted the dotting wife. Oh, commit adultery, buy her a jewerly. She has been ridiculed and made fun of, whether it was her intention or his.
