If he's elected they'll make him change his name to Michael Civil!

The recall does not work this way! There are two stages on the ballot. Do you vote to keep Davis as Gov, Yes or No? Second stage a list of candidates to replace Davis. You vote for one.
If Davis does not get 50% saying yes he is no longer Gov. he has been recalled. Then the votes are counted and whoever of the candidates who gets the most votes wins. It does not take a majority! A candidate could conceivably win with 10% of the vote.

Oh I definitely agree. He points out that no one is saying what they'll do on the issues.

You raise a very good question. Has he LEGALLY changed his name to Michael Savage? If not, he may have to run as Michael Weiner (I think) Not good.
To: visualops
Yep! If nothing else....this alone is good!!
I'm thinking that perhaps the Dems just may be concerned about him. I don't have anything to base that on, just a hunch.

I think that he definitely has some legitimate issues. However, some of the outrageous things he's said the past can easily be used against him.

If Michael runs, he will spell out his agenda. Where I live, California doesn't rule; but, some of their agenda seeps into our culture. I run a business and I drive a SUV. I hide my car at night so that some busy'body liberal won't try to torch it. I live in America in fear of Leftists.

LOL Well, he's got one vote locked up... Nope. Don't live in Cali. I am just getting tired of people bashing the man without good reason.
Can you say you have never wished death on someone? You can, but that does not mean anyone here is going to believe you. Don't throw stones at glass houses.

he's going to be bringing a lot of subjects to the table Yep. He's doing it now on his program, and he's doing really well. He has some very good points. (This is a good thing).

I know that there is two stages to the vote. (Despite what Generalissimo Bustamente wants!) The problem is that the vote for a replacement goes to the guy who gets the most votes. If the GOP voters are spraying their votes around like Bill Clinton spreadin' joy on a night when Hillary's outta town, then a Dem will end up with the most votes.

On a sour note, if Savage wins, can you imagine the level of sabotage the CA bureucracy will commit between the election and his inauguration?
Can you imagine the street demonstrations in San Fran?
The left will try to get him recalled before he even takes office! They'll all of a sudden rediscover democracy.
Like I said, the next couple of months will be very interesting indeed.

"There is two stages"? How about "there ARE two stages" Red...

Smells like a stunt from here. But I'm not much of a Savage fan.

He just said it's not a stunt. He's not going to grant ANY interviews.

Can you imagine the state of affairs with this guy installed? Honestly, I can't. It's too out of the realm of possibility.
Just another publicity stunt.
To: Brad's Gramma
Yep, I just heard that too. As if not granting interviews is incontrovertible proof that it's not a stunt. ....especially considering his sizable listening audience.

I thought Goodfellow AFB was closed down a long time ago. I was stationed there Sep 73 - Jan 74.
Had a lot of fun down there dodging the goat ropers and cowboys.

Drudge had his "stunt" headline about Savage up for about 40 minutes at most. It's gone now. Wonder if he got tired of getting flamed, or if he's so mad at Savage that he cut him off from the free publicity?
